Accessing Spot Trading

1. Login no Gate.io
2. Menu → “Spot Trading” → “Standard”
3. Select trading pair (ex: BTC/USDT)

Order Types

Market Order

Buy/sell immediately at current best price:

• Pros: Instant execution
• Cons: Price may slip slightly from displayed price
• Use when: You want immediate entry/exit
• How: Select “Market” → Enter amount → Confirm

Example: Buy R$ 1.000 of BTC at market → You get BTC at whatever current price is.

Limit Order

Set specific price you want to buy/sell at:

• Pros: Exact price control
• Cons: May not fill if price doesn’t reach your level
• Use when: You have target price in mind
• How: Select “Limit” → Enter price (R$ per BTC) → Enter amount → Place order
